Are your products 100% natural?
While we love natural ingredients and use them extensively in all our formulations, science-backed, lab-made ingredients that are rigorously tested can pack a serious punch when it comes to effectiveness.
Yes, some synthetic ingredients have earned a bad reputation - and some of it is deserved. But let’s not forget that some natural ingredients can be just as risky, especially for sensitive or eczema-prone skin (think essential oils).
That’s why we thoughtfully select a balanced mix of natural and synthetic ingredients that are safe, effective, and clinically proven - creating products that are gentle, powerful, and, most importantly, skin-friendly.
What ingredients are not in our products?
While we prefer to spotlight the quality and science behind the ingredients we include, there are certain ingredients that simply don’t align with our skin-friendly philosophy.
These are the ones you won’t find in our products:
Sulphates: Harsh detergents that strip moisture and can irritate sensitive skin.
Silicones: Can build up on the skin, blocking pores and causing breakouts.
Parabens: Preservatives linked to skin irritation and hormone disruption.
Mineral Oils: Can clog pores and prevent your skin from breathing.
Drying Alcohols: Can leave skin feeling tight and dry by disrupting its natural barrier.
Why is fragrance-free important?
Fragrance is the number one potential irritant and allergen in skincare. That’s why every single Salvida product is fragrance-free, making it the best choice for those who are highly sensitive or allergy-prone.
If your products are fragrance-free, what do they smell like?
Our skincare has no added fragrance, so you won’t get any strong scents - just the mild, natural aroma of our high-quality ingredients. It’s clean, pure, and exactly how skincare should be.
Why is the pH of your skincare important?
Caring for your skin can be challenging - especially when your skin’s barrier isn’t functioning as it should. One of the best ways to support it is by keeping your routine simple and choosing products with a pH close to your skin’s natural level, around 5.6.
Our skin’s surface is slightly acidic (with a pH between 5 and 6.5), creating an environment where skin stays friendly and resilient. When skin is in its “friendly” state, it’s much better equipped to fend off infection, environmental irritants and moisture loss.
If skincare products are too acidic or too alkaline, they can disrupt this balance. That’s why using pH-friendly products is key to keeping your skin strong, balanced and happy.
Why doesn’t Barrier NPR+ have a pH value?
pH only applies to water-based products - no water, no measurable pH. Since Barrier NPR+ is completely anhydrous (water-free), the pH scale simply doesn’t apply.
What matters? It’s clinically tested on sensitive skin and proven to be ultra-gentle.
What is the skin’s microbiome?
Your skin’s microbiome is like a mini-ecosystem living right on the surface, made up of billions of friendly bacteria, fungi and other microorganisms. Don’t worry - they’re the good guys! These tiny helpers work together to protect your skin, support its natural defenses and keep things balanced and healthy.
When your microbiome is thriving, it helps defend your skin against unwanted invaders and keeps it hydrated and resilient. But if it’s disrupted (say, by harsh products or environmental stress), it can throw everything off balance, leading to irritation, dryness or flare-ups.
Think of your microbiome as your skin’s natural BFF - nurturing it with gentle, microbiome-friendly products helps keep your skin happy, protected and friendly!
How do you know your products are suitable for sensitive skin?
We take the guesswork out of sensitive skin with rigorous testing. All our products undergo third-party clinical trials on sensitive skin panels to ensure they’re safe and effective. If even one participant has a reaction, we go back to the formulation stage and refine until it meets our high standards. Your skin’s safety and comfort are our top priority.
Where are your skincare products made?
Salvida is proudly Australian Made and Owned. Every product is manufactured in certified Australian facilities to meet the highest standards.
Our status is independently certified by the not-for-profit Australian Made Organisation.
How do you maintain the high quality of your skincare products?
At Salvida, quality is non-negotiable. Our products are made in GMP-compliant facilities, with therapeutic items manufactured in TGA-compliant facilities.
We adhere to strict APVMA, ACO, and ISO 14001 guidelines, ensuring every batch undergoes independent audits and clinical testing for accuracy and efficacy.
Full traceability is maintained through Batch Manufacturing Records and our commitment to quality is backed by the Australian Made and Eczema Association Australasia (EAA) marks.
Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes!
Why aren’t your products certified vegan and cruelty-free?
We take our claims seriously, working with regulatory experts to ensure they’re backed by evidence. Certifications like Leaping Bunny apply only to cosmetics, but some of our products are listed on the ARTG as therapeutics - making them ineligible. Rather than creating confusion with mixed certifications, we’ve chosen not to display official marks on our packaging. Rest assured, our commitment to ethical, skin-friendly formulations remains the same.

How long will my order take to arrive?
We aim to pack and dispatch all orders received before 12 noon (Monday to Friday) on the same day.
Domestic orders typically arrive within 2–4 business days.
International delivery times vary by destination. Estimated time frames are:
New Zealand: 4–11 business days
Asia: 10–20 business days
United States: 8–14 business days
Canada: 11–18 business days
United Kingdom: 5–11 business days
EU: 10–20 business days
Rest of world: 14–20 business days
How much do you charge for delivery?
If you're ordering from within Australia and your total is $50 or more, we’ll ship your order for free.
If your order doesn’t qualify for free shipping, rates are as follows:
Australia: $8 flat rate (orders under $50)
New Zealand: $12 flat rate
International: $20 flat rate
How will my order be packaged for shipping?
All orders are shipped via Australian Post or couriers. We ensure your products arrive safely with packaging that’s 100% biodegradable or recyclable, keeping both your order in perfect condition and our carbon footprint minimal.
If I live outside Australia, what is the best way to place an order?
You can place your order either through our Amazon store or directly on this website. If we don't currently ship to your country from our website, please check our Amazon store instead.
As a small business, Amazon's global network often helps us offer more competitive shipping rates than we can provide on our own. We're always looking to improve, and this may change as we grow.
What is your return policy?
We want you to love your purchase! However, due to Australia’s strict hygiene regulations, we can’t accept returns for change of mind. If you believe your situation falls under Salvida’s Skin-Friendly Promise, please reach out to us - we’re here to help.

Salvida's Skin-Friendly Promise is simple: If your skin has an adverse reaction to any Salvida product, we’ll refund your purchase within 30 days - no hard feelings, just skin-friendly care.

As your support squad, we’re here to make your journey smoother by addressing a common concern: Will my skin react adversely to this product?
At Salvida, we stand by our ‘skin-friendly’ guarantee. If your skin reacts (due to an uncommon allergy), we’ll refund what you paid for the product, minus the actual shipping costs. To claim your refund, simply reach out within 30 days of receiving your order.
Please note, this is not a promise that your ailment or disease will be cured. Skin health is not just about topical products.
